Trail Work Days:

  • Trail work day - South Fork Little Deer Creek
    • Saturday, September 17th, 2011
    • Time: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
    • Location: South Fork Little Deer Creek trail (#252); start 100 yards above Elk Camp
    • Meet: Elk Camp (1.5 down Cascade Springs Road in American Fork Canyon)
    • Carpool: Due to limited parking, we're encouraging participants to carpool up to the work site.
    • What to bring: Lunch, water, work gloves, suncreen and bug repellent. All tools will be provided by the US Forest Service.
    • What to wear: Long pants/jeans, work shoes (no flip flops or sandals), and a hat. The temperature can change throughout the day, so a light jacket or long sleeve shirt may be helpful as well.
    • Gate fee: There is no fee to drive up and park while you're working with the trail crew. At the pay shack at the enterance to the canyon, let them know you're a volunteer working on the National Public Lands Day project working with URMB and Cheryl Butler from the US Forest Service.
